Hall 781 Locust St. Cost is only $12.00 with proceeds used to refurbish theNativity Scene in Washington Park. Cocktails at 5:30 with dinner at 6:30 pm. Featuring Bird Cages, Critter Cages & Supplies, Carriers, Used Collars & Leashes and more! All proceeds benefit the lost, abandoned and unwanted animals at the Dubuque Regional Humane Society.

    Knights of Columbus in Hazel Green is having a Steak and Bluegrass festival, Saturday, Aug 23. Enjoy live music from Free for the Haulin', from 7-10. The Steak dinner will be served from 5 until 8pm. Cost is $10 for adults, and $5 for children 10 and under. There will be a silent auction, cash raffle, and more. This festival will be held at St. Joseph parish in Sinsinawa, Wisconsin.

    The Music on the Green Concert Series at Galena Territory continues Saturday, Aug. 30 with The Mighty Short Bus. The free concert begins at 6pm on the recreation field adjacent to the Inn. Food and beverages will be available for purchase (no carry-ins) and concert goers are encourage to bring their lawns chairs or blankets.

    The marionettes in "The Magic Calendar" will be celebrating a year's worth of holidays in the Fever River Puppeteer's Labor Weekend production at 11am and 2pm Saturday August 30 and 2pm Sunday August 31 in the air conditioned Hazel Green Opera House.     The Dubuque Regional Humane Society "Pawsidential Gala," the shelters annual fall dinner/silent auction event Friday, September 12 at the Grand River Center. Cash bar, wine tasting, and our silent auction begins at 5:30 PM, followed by a dinner. A live auction follows the dinner. All proceeds benefit the lost, abandoned, and unwanted animals of the tri-states. Tickets are $50 per person and are available at our main shelter and our Kennedy Mall Animal Adoption Center.
